(June 7) Got out of hand: A man said the Pima County Board of Supervisors should go before a firing squad at call to the public, the Arizona Daily Star’s Charles Borla reports. The man, Doyle Taraba, accused Democratic supervisors of treason, but failed to provide additional context. Supervisor Sylvia Lee asked County Administrator Jan Lesher and the Pima County Attorney's Office to "get an opinion" on Taraba’s statements, saying she "felt very threatened."

(August 8, 2023) Taking it to the airwaves: Pima County Administrator Jan Lesher was a guest on the Bill Buckmaster Showtalking about Pima County’s plans for a massive internet infrastructure upgrade, raises for county employees, the county’s plan to ask the legislature to change the state’s public record laws and more.

(April 11) On the air: Last week, Caitlin was on the Buckmaster Show, talking with host Bill Buckmaster and County Administrator Jan Lesher about federal funding to support asylum seekers, the latest on the county’s plans for the jail, overcrowding at the Pima Animal Care Center, the ins and outs of the county budget, and more. (Tucson Agenda)

“That is one of the recommendations that came to us from the county attorney’s office to look at how we might make sure that if there’s personnel records, if there’s documents, how can we take care of those items,” Lesher said. “Trying to see what avenues there might be to ensure protection of someone’s personnel rights or something relating to their personnel records, that’s been a concern.”

(January 22) The topic of discussion for an executive session at the supervisors’ meeting tomorrow is “communication with the Federal Government.” The agenda doesn’t say whether it’s communication with a postal carrier, an FBI agent, or the president. This is the same vague language used for an executive session last August, which the Tucson Sentinel connected to a federal probe into Huckelberry’s secret retirement in 2022. (The Sentinel reported on Friday the Department of Justice had dropped the investigation after finding no federal crimes to prosecute) (Tucson Agenda)
